In the patch notes it stared that different controller sensitivities for hip firing and aiming through sights would be introduced. I can't find this option, is it there or not?

I would guess the OP saw the explosion or he wouldn't have said they exploded. The blast radius is 5 meters, I believe, crouching shouldn't help and since the specs say"radius" then they are not directional.
